MOLINE, Illinois (July 2, 2014) – Officials at the John Deere Pavilion, Deere & Company's free visitor center in downtown Moline, Ill., today announced it received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence award. The accolade, which honors hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments consistently achieving outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor. Establishments awarded the Certificate of Excellence represent the upper echelon of businesses listed on the travel website and are located all over the world.
When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm of account reviews to determine the honorees. Businesses must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five and must have an established volume of recent reviews. Additional criteria include a business' tenure and popularity ranking on the site.
"Winning the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is a source of pride for the entire team at The John Deere Pavilion and we appreciate all of our guests who take the time to complete a review and share their opinions about our facility," said Brigitte Tapscott, manager of the John Deere Pavilion. "There is no greater seal of approval than being recognized by one's customers. With the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence based on customer reviews, the accolade is a great vote of confidence to our attraction and our continued commitment to excellence."
"The Certificate of Excellence award gives top performing establishments around the world the recognition they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter most – their customers," said Marc Charron, President of TripAdvisor for Business. "From Australia to Zimbabwe, we want to applaud exceptional hospitality businesses for offering TripAdvisor travelers a great customer experience."
The John Deere Pavilion, the official visitors center, offers free admission, is open to the public year-round, and welcomes group tours. The John Deere Store, located adjacent to the Pavilion, stocks a large and unique selection of the latest officially-licensed John Deere products including clothing, toys, collectibles, novelties and videos. The Pavilion hosts free Kids Craft Days on the third Saturday of each month featuring a different theme generally tied to the season.
