Oct. 28 - John Deere has announced it will invest R150 million ($17.5 million) to build a new parts warehouse close to O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The new warehouse will have more than three times the capacity of the existing warehouse in Rosslyn.
"This investment is in line with the company's focus on giving customers a unique ownership experience," said Len Brand, director of sales, Ag & Turf Region 1 – Africa. "The new warehouse will support dealers across sub-Saharan Africa by giving them even more ability to support customers in maintaining maximum uptime of their equipment."
