Josh Jepsen, senior vice president & chief financial officer, John Deere, describes the Q1 results, “We had a good quarter. We were ahead of our expectations even with sales down a bit, but we also made some really important announcements.”
Josh explains, “I think as a proof point and a building block we continued to demonstrate our structural profitability shift in our ability to perform at much higher levels of performance than we have in the past and both executing in the quarter and as we deliver the full year guide, we think that will be a really good testament to the changes we've made and how far we've come in a relatively short period of time.”
