Nearly 100 Employees Set to Return to Work at Deere’s Iowa Factories

John Deere is bringing 99 team members back to work at our eastern Iowa construction and forestry facilities starting in mid-February 2026.

“As demand increases, these callbacks help ensure we have skilled teams in place to support production across our construction and forestry operations,” said Mark Dickson, vice president, construction and forestry manufacturing operations.

What’s Happening

Deere will bring employees back at both Davenport Works and Dubuque Works, supporting a range of assembly, fabrication, machining, and material-handling roles that keep production running smoothly.

Davenport Works — Davenport, Iowa

75 employees returning will support:

  • Production and utility-class assembly
  • Articulated dump truck assembly
  • Fabrication, machining, weld, paint, and material handling

Dubuque Works — Dubuque, Iowa

24 employees returning will support:

  • Production-class dozer assembly
  • Fabrication, assembly, and material handling
