Relief and Bridge Payment Support for America's Farmers

Students Drive Innovation at 2025 CyberTractor Challenge

John Deere is proud to serve and stand with our strong and resilient customers. Today, farmers and ranchers continue to navigate difficult market conditions, many of which have been years in the making. Deere has kept focus on supporting our customers and helping them build for the long haul.

John Deere commends the Trump Administration for their announcement of relief and bridge payments to support America’s farmers as they continue to navigate ongoing market challenges. Farmers and ranchers are America’s backbone. This timely assistance will protect this essential industry, help rural communities, and support critical long-term investments in the future of U.S. agriculture and manufacturing.

John Deere shares the Administration’s focus on reducing costs for our nation’s agricultural producers and consumers. We are doing all we can to help U.S. farmers reduce input costs. The equipment and technologies Deere makes here in the U.S. are giving American farmers new tools and technologies that can substantially reduce their input costs and labor costs while increasing yields, boosting their margins.

John Deere has been building America since 1837. We are proud of our longstanding commitment to American farming and manufacturing, and the communities that help drive our nation forward. We stand ready to continue to work with the Trump Administration and Congress to advance policies that support the rural economy through challenging cycles.

Here are some examples of how we’re helping farmers lower their input costs:

  • Our See & Spray™ technology allows a customer to traverse the field at 15 mph and only spray when the technology sees a weed. In 2025, John Deere customers reduced non-residual herbicide use by an average of nearly 50%.
  • ExactShot™, a planter fertilizer technology can reduce starter fertilizer by more than 60%, by only putting the fertilizer on the seed where it is needed and not in between the seeds.
  • We’re making these technologies more affordable through lower up-front costs, and a model where customers only pay for the technology when they use it.
  • Many of these technologies can also be retrofitted on existing equipment, offering even greater affordability for many growers.
  • Since 2023, John Deere has reduced prices on nearly 187,000 parts, with more than half occurring in 2025 alone. These changes reflect ongoing efforts to make parts more affordable and help farmers control input costs without compromising quality or service availability.
