Assembly JobsAssemblers perform assembly work and other work necessary to support operations — including material handling, quality inspections, setups, teardowns, or job changes.
Welding JobsWelders perform all types of manual, robotic, or computer-controlled arc and spot welding jobs; material handling; inspection; quality audits, setups, and teardowns.
Press OperatorPress operators perform metal fabricating work and other work necessary to support metal fabricating operations — including part fabrication, material handling, quality inspections, set-ups, tear-downs, or job changes.
Mechanical Machine Maintenance Mechanics analyze machine failures; inspect, overhaul, build, rebuild, and make general repairs to machines, machine tools, and mechanical equipment; redesign and make any required new or replacement parts.
Electrical Machine MaintenanceElectricians lay out, install, modify, and maintain complex electrical circuits, and electrical and electronic equipment in a team environment; diagnose and remedy any electrical problem.
Pipefitting & HV MaintenanceIndustrial pipefitters install, inspect, maintain, and repair all factory pipe systems, such as water, gas, oil, sewer, washroom, and toilet facilities; install, inspect, repair, and adjust all types of heating, ventilating, and refrigeration equipment, and temperature and pressure controls.
Tool & Die MakerTool & die makers plan, lay out, and construct a variety of intricate, highly specialized tools, fixtures, jigs, dies, or gauges requiring high-quality workmanship, holding extremely close tolerances which, due to the work, are difficult to maintain.
Field Equipment OperatorSet up and operate industrial equipment, agricultural implements, tractors, grounds care, and recreation products. Performs field tests by mowing lawns and test driving equipment, while reporting failures or breakdowns as they occur.

Here’s how the application process works
There are three steps in the hiring process for jobs at John Deere in Horicon:

2) Complete an online questionnaire. After completing the application online, you will be asked to complete an online questionnaire and tell us a little more about yourself.
3) Attend an in-person interview. After the online application and questionnaire have been reviewed, those moving forward in the application process will be contacted for an on-site interview.
