Have some fun, the old-fashioned way! Enjoy live music performances as artists demonstrate the crafts of candle making, basket weaving, broom making, quilting, tatting, and soap making. You’ll have the chance to purchase their wares while the kids play pioneer-era games. Make a day of it! Lawn chairs and picnic lunches are encouraged.
Kids of all ages are invited to learn about life on a farm at the John Deere Tractor & Engine Museum’s Farm Fun Day on Saturday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The kids can compete in pedal-tractor pulls and races, get their hands dirty at Little Johnny’s Farm, watch a live blacksmith, and even pet some animals. There’s fun for all ages at the John Deere Tractor & Engine Museum — and it’s free!
The John Deere Pavilion, Tractor & Engine Museum and Historic Site recently launched a new passport program. It’s designed to help guests commemorate their trips to visit John Deere by collecting seals and stamps in their personal passport booklet. Participation in the program is completely free and visitors earn gifts and discounts along the way.
