The F400E Series pickup offers full versatility by using cam track technology to provide a better solution for operators. The traditional stripper design provides reduced space between the pickup tines and rotor feeder, while the tine motion helps to avoids pinching. The camless technology requires long strippers, creating a dead-zone between the tines and rotor. Additionally, fixed tines can easily pinch crops in sticky conditions, causing plugs.
The F400E Series offers even more versatility due to the adjustable tine position. The operator can turn the pickup cam to improve feeding efficiency for straw or wet crops:

The F400E Series is base equipped with gauge wheels, no matter the pickup width choice. In order to create a height that provides quality picking, a simple plate offers up to seven positions.

No matter the pickup width, the F400E Series is equipped with a windrow rake that provides regular and continuous feeding through the chamber. By removing one pin, the rake can be easily adjusted to four positions to match the windrow dimensions.

The F400E Series Balers provide two safety features that help prevent damage to the baler due to plugging or feeding system overload:

Simple and accurate bale density adjustment
Manometer and density target
Depending on crop- type, the operator may need to change bale density. This setting can be complicated and not accurate, but the F400E Series can provide this in a matter of seconds without tools.
A knob located on the pressure manometer at the front of the baler allows accurate adjustment of the density. When the bale reaches the targeted pressure, a signal diffused by the control box is audible from the working place. This signals the operator to start the tying process and stop the baler.
The accurate setting and process allow the bales to maintain the same density and diameter, and makes bale storage more manageable. To keep the baling process continuous, the manometer is visible from both the cab or platform.

The F400E Series offers a full-range of adjustments. A knob located on the side of the baler allows the operator to continuously increase or decrease the number of twine revolutions.
No matter the crop type, operators do not have to compromise when using this machine. The range of settings helps ensure a well-rapped bale with quality tying.
Accurate net-wrapping adjustment

The F400E Series is equipped with an automatic release system that manages the net cutting blade after the requested amount of net turns. The operator can accurately set the number of net layers by +/-0.5-pitch, by moving a link located on the side of the baler.
Pending on crop-type and density, the operator can choose 1.5 to 5.5 turns. This system does not require a tool to measure the length of parts managing the net-turn adjustment.

F450E conveyor system
The F450E Baler is designed for small-farm operators who mainly bale straw or hay. A bale chamber made of rolls is often not the best solution for these crops. Hot forage can glide on the steel rolls, causing the stop of bale rotation and baler plug.
The F450E features a full-conveyor system, a perfect solution for dry crops. The produced bales are 1.20 m (3.9 ft) wide by a 1.5-m (4.9-ft) diameter.
Forty-one slats (35-mm [1.4-in.] diameter) firmly grab straw or hay to provide continuous bale rotation, no matter the condition. Chain-drive, two-ribbed bottom rolls grip the bale to fill the chamber and to begin the baling process effectively.
Conveyor clutch increases baler lifetime
To avoid baler damage, the conveyor stops during the bale unloading process. A mechanically-driven clutch stops the conveyor when the tailgate opens. This offers the following advantages:
It is advised to decrease the tractor power take-off (PTO) speed before starting the tailgate motion, to enhance clutch lifetime and driver comfort (no chock).
Extracting plate creates easy bale unloading
When baling wet crops, the bale can stick to the tailgate, causing difficult unloading and time loss. To avoid this, two extracting plates facilitate the bale dumping on the F450E Balers. The extracting plates can be installed and removed easily by a few bolts.
Bale ejector increases baler performance and limits time loss
A bale ejector is offered as base on the F450E Balers. This enables the bales to roll away from the baler during the unloading operation. The ramp also avoids backup operation in hilly fields and saves time.
