New W330 and W440 Combines
John Deere extends its harvesting equipment portfolio with the new W330 combine. This 5 walker 216hp combine with Pre-Threshing Cylinder (PTC) has been designed to meet the needs of farmers who are looking for a powerful yet compact machine. With 750mm wide tires the combine remains below 3.3m width and features a tight turning radius of only 6.5 meters, so it fits to regions with small fields and narrow roads.
Exclusive in Class Pre-Threshing Cylinder and Re-Thresher
The Pre-Threshing Cylinder (PTC) of the W330 and W440 increases threshing capacity by 20%. As an industry exclusive the Re-thresher takes care of the tailing returns and releases the main drum, walkers and sieves from extra load. The result is a machine with compact dimensions but with the performance of larger combines in this segment.
Clean grain - ready to be seeded again
Starting with the concave underneath the PTC system which is independently adjustable of the main concave from the cab, the W330 features a very effective separation system. It enables the operator to react to changing conditions by opening the front concave and reducing the amount of short straw on the sieves. 5 walkers and an optional power separation drum on top of the walkers separate kernels very efficiently. The large sieve area with adjustable fan louvers separates grain to seed quality as the air flow can be directed to the front or rear of the chaffer depending on the crop and conditions present.
Touch screen display
The cab features a touch screen display with a configurable screen to indicate key performance data. Equipped with sensors on each drive shaft advanced operators can even preselect which sensor should trigger the first alert. This prevents plugging the combine and enables driving it at its maximum capacity safely.
The W330 sets a new standard also in terms of maintenance. The stainless steel walker pans and the preparation pans can be removed without tools. All sieves can be taken out in less than 10 minutes. Removable unloading augers and extra large service doors additionally facilitate daily maintenance and enable a complete cleaning of the machine.
A long-term partnership
As a premium supplier of larger combines John Deere recognizes the need for compact machines in many markets in Europe, partially driven relatively high grain prices in the past years. Both, the W330 and W440 combines will address this customer segment. The W440 has been sold in Poland, Turkey and Germany in 2014. With the smaller W330 and the launch of both models in most markets in EU28+ except for Northern Europe in 2015, John Deere extends its combine line to these markets.
