Celebrating America’s 250th, the Deere Way

For nearly two centuries, John Deere has grown alongside America—shaped by the people who build, plant, harvest, and care for this country. As the nation approaches its 250th anniversary, we’re marking the moment by showing up in our communities and joining the traditions that bring people together, connecting our strong history through our partnership with America250 and Freedom250.

“For nearly 200 years, John Deere has been a leader in innovation and manufacturing, helping our fellow Americans grow and build this country,” said Mara Downing, Vice President, Corporate Communications and Brand Management at John Deere. “Supporting America250 and Freedom250 honors all those who helped shape this country and we’re immensely proud to be part of this historic celebration.”

America’s Game, From the First Pitch

As an official partner of Major League Baseball (MLB), John Deere will celebrate the players, people, and equipment behind the game from Opening Day to the final out.

That presence will come to life at moments like MLB All-Star Week in Philadelphia from July 11 to 14, where sports, history, and community converge in a city that helped shape the nation.

The celebration continues at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa, on August 13, where heritage, agriculture, and America’s favorite pastime meet on one of the game’s most iconic stages.

History Coming to Life

That same spirit of tradition and community continues closer to home. History takes place on June 13 during a John Deere Historic Baseball Game, bringing the sport’s earliest traditions to life.

From there, the celebration continues at Deere Days at the Museum, June 12–14, at the Waterloo Tractor and Engine Museum. Hands-on activities, exhibits, a community 5K run and walk, and shared stories create a space for generations to come together—connecting our past, present, and future.

A Fourth of July Tradition

In the Quad Cities, home to our world headquarters, the John Deere Classic is a Fourth of July tradition that celebrates the company’s commitment to community. Each year, the tournament energizes the region, bringing together fans, volunteers, employees, and partners through world-class golf and shared celebration.

The impact extends far beyond the fairways, though. Through Birdies for Charity, the John Deere Classic reflects Deere’s long-standing values of stewardship and service—uniting the community to support hundreds of nonprofit organizations and causes close to home.

As the Classic aligns with Independence Day in recognition of America 250, we will also honor military families through a Folds of Honor ceremony, patriotic moments throughout the week, and a headline performance by Grammy Award–winning Carrie Underwood.

Building What Comes Next

Beyond events and gatherings, we are also celebrating America by spotlighting the customers who help build it every day. At this year’s CONEXPO, the Building America contest highlighted customers whose work shapes the places where people live, work, and connect.

Celebrating America on the Factory Floor

That same spirit is reflected in a new mural at John Deere Dubuque Works, where a mile-long factory wall has been transformed into a bold visual tribute to American manufacturing. Created by Midwest artist Greg Gossel, the mural celebrates John Deere’s heritage, its people, and its deep ties to the Dubuque community. The mural is a thank you to the customers, employees, and communities who help build America every day.
