Empowering employees to help solve the world’s biggest problems and blaze new trails in innovation has earned John Deere a place on Fast Company Magazine’s list of “Best Workplaces for Innovators.”
The annual list, which launched last year, recognizes companies with a culture that empowers its employees to improve processes, create new products and invent new ways of doing business.
“This recognition comes at an exciting time for our company,” said Chief Technology Officer Jahmy Hindman. “Innovation, agility and collaboration are at the heart of our new Smart Industrial vision and operating model announced in June. We aim to deliver breakthrough customer value in agriculture and construction industries by rapidly introducing new technologies. To do that we need to capitalize on the ingenuity and teamwork of all of our employees.”
Fast Company recognized Deere in part for our Continuous Improvement program, which allows employees in our factories to share their ideas for making our products and processes better. Employees then collaborate on these ideas to bring them to life.
