"There are so many great parts of being an intern for John Deere. One of my favorites would be the way they effortlessly bring all their interns together through NEON for outings, intramurals, food, and games. Although it can be worrisome to be in an entirely new location for the first time and doing something that you haven’t done before, John Deere makes sure that their interns feel at home and are able to easily adapt."
Eric, Accounting Intern

"If you are considering either applying for or accepting an offer from Deere, know that this company builds up its employees first horizontally, and then vertically. That is one of the perks of this company specifically. Everyone here is looking to build each other up, to help each other grow in their roles with the interest of the individual in mind. In line with that, the culture of Deere is a lot like a family. Even in my short three months here, I was welcomed into a community of people. They were always happy to talk to me about questions I had, what they could help me with, and then also about me as a person. The last one is what makes the difference, John Deere employees look to make people connections not just lifelines for when they need work-related help. The ability to connect with people in this way is a key to success."

"John Deere has a running history on our family farm for the last 50 years, so it was a natural decision to consider an internship at John Deere. I have always had a great desire to give back the same care and enthusiasm our farm has received from John Deere, and I’m able to do that through my internship. I can’t think of a better way to spend a summer than being surrounded by co-workers who are passionate about the future of agriculture."

"My favorite part of the Development Program are the rotations. The whole reason I went in to a Development Program vs. an entry level job was for the rotational aspect and being able to experience three completely different areas in Human resources within the short three years. With the different rotations come the variety of people you get to meet and discover their roles as well as what they love about John Deere."
Kacey, Human Resources Development Program

Sydney, Engineering Development Program

"I had a few different offers by the time I graduated, but I chose Deere because I would have not been able to forgive myself if I had passed this opportunity up. I was so impressed with the company when I did my internship at the Tractor Cab Assembly Operations facility in Waterloo, IA. The people were so nice and caring and the employee resource groups, especially NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) really helped make a difference in my summer. I was participating in meaningful work and awesome personal and professional development. When it came down to where I would feel the most valued, participate in the most fulfilling experiences, and could make the most influence in the world, I could only think of John Deere. Plus, making quality products that influence our infrastructure and our food on a global scale brings me a certain sense of pride. I am always so proud to tell people, 'I work for John Deere!'”
– Sydney, Engineering Development Program

Mariah, Treasury Intern

"One of the most important reasons I chose to intern at John Deere was because of how ethical the company is. This year, Ethisphere Institute ranked John Deere as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies. This commitment to being ethical is important in any line of work, especially accounting."
– Mariah, Treasury Intern

Dustin, Marketing Intern

"I choose to do my internship at John Deere for numerous reasons. After deliberation with past interns, current employees, family and friends I felt very comfortable and confident when it came to accepting my offer with John Deere for the summer. John Deere has shaped and molded me into the young professional that I am today which has destined me for future success."
– Jericho, Marketing Intern

I chose to work at John Deere because I believed the Engineering Development Program would jumpstart my career, help me grow as an engineer, and expose me to different career paths. So far it’s been everything I imagined!”
