John Deere Coffeyville Works (JDCW) has a rich history. In 1941, brothers Howard and Joe Funk moved from Akron, Ohio to Coffeyville and started Funk Manufacturing. Funk Manufacturing was purchased by Gardner-Denver in 1969 eventually merging with Cooper Industries ten years later. In 1989 Funk Manufacturing was purchased by John Deere and in 2005 became known as John Deere Coffeyville Works.

JDCW is known as a world-class drivetrain business proudly innovating products, manufacturing with excellence, and delivering distinctive product quality. An equal opportunity employer, JDCW currently employs a diverse group of 350+ employees that bring unique perspectives to address the complex challenges of its global business. JDCW designs and builds drivetrain components including transmissions and pump drives used in John Deere Agricultural and Construction equipment. Examples include components for 750/850 Crawlers, Motor Graders, 5M/5R Tractors, and Hybrid Loaders.

JDCW continues to invest in research and development to build the next generation of equipment to benefit our customers who are linked to the land. In 2017, JDCW received the Industry of the Year Award which recognizes the contributions to the vibrancy of Coffeyville through good business practices, innovative processes, and productivity enhancements that drive the Coffeyville economy.
