Thomas C. Spitzfaden is Vice President and Treasurer, a position he has held since February 2015. He is responsible for leading a team of treasury professionals in providing sustainable, cost-effective funding for global capital markets and financial risk management in support of Deere & Company and John Deere Financial (JDF).
Spitzfaden joined Deere in 1979 and has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in Corporate and the Agricultural Equipment and Construction Equipment Divisions. In 2004, he was named Director, Business Development for the Worldwide Agricultural Equipment Division. In 2006, he was appointed Assistant Treasurer and in January 2012 he was appointed Vice President, Pension Fund and Investments, Deere & Company.
Spitzfaden has a bachelor's degree in history from Rice University and an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Spitzfaden currently serves on the Quad City Symphony Orchestra Board.
