Christopher A. Myers is Vice President, Advanced Technology & Engineering, a role he has held since November of 2018. Myers is responsible for directing advanced technology development and engineering services that support worldwide agricultural, construction, and commercial and consumer equipment design and manufacturing. These services include Product Technology and Innovation, Enterprise Electric Drives, Embedded Software, Strategic Manufacturing, Environment, Health and Safety, Advanced Marketing, and Enterprise Strategic Quality. He also leads the company's global engineering centers in China, India, Mexico, Germany, and the United States and has responsibility for the global product-development process and program management.
Myers joined Deere in 1978 as an engineer at the John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, Illinois, where he held a number of product engineering and manufacturing positions. He has also held a product engineering supervisory role at the company's Zweibrücken, Germany, combine factory. In 2000, he was appointed Manager, Worldwide Seeding Product Development, where he played a key role in the introduction of many successful products. In 2006, Myers was appointed Director, Worldwide Tractor and Component Engineering, and in 2009 he became Global Director, Tractor Platform Engineering.
Myers holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural engineering and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois.
