          Global carrier

          Global carrier Global carrier

The global carrier conforms to ISO standard DIS23206. Although the design fully meets the standard, it is a unique, John Deere design.  As most manufacturers now meet the ISO standard, this ISO standard has become the industry norm for carriers.

          Features include:

          • The handle for latching is on the left-hand side of the loader to save time when unhooking attachments
          • The latching mechanism is on the carrier, eliminating the need to buy latches for every attachment used
          • The carrier is compatible with any competitor attachments that conform to the ISO standard
          • The carrier is composed of a rigid-bottom, square tube and a solid top bar; this creates a strong structure to reduce twisting if only one hook is mistakenly engaged while connecting an attachment
          • The top bar of the global carrier is cold drawn for improved wear resistance

Mechanical joystick with gear shifting Mechanical joystick with gear shifting
          Mid-mounted valve Mid-mounted valve

To speed up installation time, order your tractor loader ready. The package is factory installed at the tractor factory in Mannheim, Germany. The loader-ready package includes:

          • Two- or three-function joystick (electronic or mechanical) (mechanical has gear shifting with PowrQuad Plus TM  or Auto Quad transmissions)
          • Two- or three-function mid-mounted valve
          • Mounting frame
          • Toolbox bracket
          • Mid-mounted multicoupler tractor half
          • Hoses from mid-mounted valve to mid-mounted multicoupler tractor half
          • Hood guard
          • H4 beltline lights
          • Narrow header for increased visibility to the loader lift height
          • Glass roof with hatch (optional)

To complete the loader-ready package, the remaining loader parts are ordered from Welland in the hydraulics section (through codes 2050 or 2052). The parts include:

          • Mid-mounted multicoupler - loader half (two- or three-function)
          • Hoses from the loader half multicoupler to the loader oil lines (two- or three-function)
          • Third function / grapple multicoupler (if three-function)
          • Third function oil lines (if three-function)

Be sure to confirm what is available in the loader-ready package and order the appropriate loader components.

          673 Loader high-mast parking system

Round mast pin Round mast pin
Parking stands stored in torque tube Parking stands stored in torque tube
          Loader parked Loader parked

The 673 Loader features the high-mast parking system. Benefits include:

          • The mast-to-mounting frame connection point is easily viewed from the operator's seat, making it easier to insert the mast into the mounting frame when parking
          • The mast is shorter to prevent contact with fenders
          • The boom width allows enough space between the tractor hood to make adjustments when parking if not aligned properly
          • The mast-to-mounting frame pins are round to allow for easy removal
          • The mast-to-mounting frame pins are also used as the hardware to hold the parking stands inside the pockets
          • The parking stands are stored neatly inside the torque tube; this ensures that the parking stands do not obstruct visibility or restrict lift height by getting caught on objects when using the loader at full lift height
          • The top of the parking stands are reinforced to decrease yielding if the loader is parked improperly
          • The parking stands do not interfere with the largest tires at any tread width chosen
          • It is recommended to turn off TLS (6030 Premium) tractors when parking the loader

          Boom, mast, and cylinders

The 563 and 673 Loader's booms have been designed to maximize strength and visibility.

Overall, the 673 is approximately 25 percent stronger than the 563. Differences between 563 and 673 booms, masts, and cylinders are the following:

          • 673 has thicker mast steel
          • 673 has thicker boom steel and a deeper section
          • 673 has a 45-mm boom to mast pin versus 35 mm on the 563
          • 673 has a larger diameter and thicker walled torque tube

The following features add up to years of reliability and high resale value for which John Deere loaders are known:

          Reinforced bushings Reinforced bushings
Gusset plates on mast Gusset plates on mast

          • Round mast pin simplifies installation and removal; the handle of the mast is also utilized to install parking stands

Cast steel mounting frame improves visibility Cast steel mounting frame improves visibility
Low-profile SL linkage and bellcrank Low-profile SL linkage and bellcrank

The loaders were designed to allow for maximum visibility.

          • Low-torque tube allows for enhanced visibility to the attaching area and top of bucket
          • Low-torque tube does not block the lights when carrying a load with the bucket
          • Self-level linkage and bellcrank are low profile to improve visibility over the boom; the bellcrank is cast to minimize the size while adding strength to necessary areas
