This is a statewide cooperative purchases contract that can be extended to state agencies, local governmental agencies within the geographic limits of the State of Tennessee, municipalities, private nonprofit institutions of higher education chartered in Tennessee, 501C non profits, private institutions of higher education, all public schools and authorized corporations.

All purchase orders must show John Deere Company as the vendor and reference the contract number.

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the creation date of the quote. All quotes created in JDQ2 have creation and expiration dates on the upper right hand corner of the first quote page for your convenience.

Allowed. Allied equipment may only be sold in connection with the sale of a contract item. Items must be clearly labeled on the purchase order or quote as Allied.

Allied items are  Order Zone products, implements, attachments, accessories, parts or bundles not manufactured by John Deere that are requested by the customer to complete the purchase of John Deere equipment awarded on contract.

A separate PO is the preferred method, allowing the agency to buy non-contract items with their local purchasing authority.

No fees may be charged.

Not allowed on this contract for State agencies. Allowed for local governments or non-state agencies if permitted by their own procurement policies and procedures.

Multiple unit discounts are allowed. The contract discount plus the multiple unit discount equals the total discount. Discounts are based on the following schedule:

3-4 units – 1%

5-6 units – 2%

7-8 units – 3%

9 units or more – 4%

Sales of 3 or more like self-propelled products sold on the same purchase order are eligible for the multi-unit discount. Self-propelled products, with the exception of our utility vehicles (provided UV’s are on the contract) must be listed in the same tabbed price book section. Compatible implements sold with such products also qualify for the multi-unit discount, but do not count as a unit.

Frontier Equipment is excluded from the Multiple Unit Discount.

Allowed. Non-contract equipment may only be sold in connection with the sale of a contract item. Items must be clearly labeled on the purchase order or quote as Non-Contract.

Non-contract items are John Deere manufactured Order Zone products, implements, attachments, accessories, parts or bundles that are not currently on contract but are requested by the customer to complete the purchase of John Deere equipment awarded on contract.

Hour meter not to exceed 3 hours.

The standard manufacturer warranty shall apply to all models. A properly executed warranty must be delivered with the equipment. For warranty of aftermarket equipment and/or paint, Dealer may utilize a third party warranty to meet this requirement.

Prior to delivery of any equipment, the dealer should make arrangements with the ordering entity for the purpose of scheduling delivery and conducting an inspection of the equipment. All equipment is subject to inspection to establish conformity to specifications prior to acceptance. Equipment shall be ready for immediate operation. Pre-delivery servicing and adjustments shall include,but is not limited to, the manufacturer's recommendations a well as the following:

  1. Complete lubrication of operating chassis, engine, and mechanisms with Manfacturer's recommended grades of lubricants;
  2. Check / Fill all fluids levels to assure proper fill;
  3. Adjust engine(s) /motor(s)/drive(s) to proper operating condition (s);
  4. Check to assure proper operation of all accessories, gauges, lights, and mechanical and hydraulic features;
  5. Inspect electrical, braking and suspension systems, Charge battery;
  6. Inflate tires to optimal pressure;
  7. Fill gas tank(s) with gas and/or alternative fuel up to $5.00;
  8. Equipment must be clean and thoroughly detailed prior to delivery. Equipment must be delivered free of any decal or other attached item identifying the dealer. The equipment is expected to be completely cleaned and operational at the time of delivery/pickup;
  9. All factory defects must be corrected prior to delivery;
  10. Two (2) pre-tested keys when applicable. The equipment key code mus be provided, atached to the keys;
  11. The State, at its discretion, may request installation of State provided decals;

The following items should be delivered with each equipment purchase:

  1. Completed Pre-Delivery Inspection Form
  2. Operators (owners) Manual
  3. Manufacturer's Warranty Information
  4. Dealer Specification Quote (when applicable)
  5. State Supplied Purchase Order
  6. Manufacturer/Dealer Invoice

Alternatively, Customer may request that the above items be delivered to a central location or office prior to equipment delivery.
