Clean air, fluid efficiency, and engine performance
John Deere takes its responsibility to the environment very seriously. We have been working on lowering engine emissions since 1967, years before government standards were set. We have taken an integrated approach to cleaner air while improving fuel economy and engine performance.
Diesel Engine Evolution
John Deere diesel engines feed on innovation. From the first to the Final Tier 4 engines, we’ve adopted new technologies that satisfy emissions regulations without sacrificing performance.
John Deere Power Systems is pleased to announce new Marine Tier 3 PowerTech™ 4.5L and 6.8L propulsion and generator-drive engines. John Deere will meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Marine Tier 3 emissions regulations that began to take effect in 2009 based on cylinder displacement and power per displacement. These engines also will achieve compliance with International Maritime Organization Tier II emissions regulations and EU 97/68/EC.
