We offer two kinds of filler plates for two kinds of crop conditions:

• Non-perforated filler plates for harvesting tough green-stemmed soybeans.
  • NOT recommended in corn above 25 percent moisture
  • Improved feeding and material handling capabilities of the cylinder
• Perforated filler plates for harder to thresh conditions, like high-moisture corn.
  • Larger surface area of the perforated filler plate provides for more complete threshing of the kernels from the cob
  • Reduces buildup of dust and debris in the threshing cylinder

Large-wire concaves

• Recommended for rice, sorghum, soybeans and corn
• Standard on S-Series and STS Series rice combines, and available as an option on corn and small-grain combines
• To extend the wear life, the option to boronize concaves with a wear-resistant material is available

Notes:
1. Extended-wear large-wire concaves are also available with the extended-wear separator package.
2. Not recommended for high-moisture corn (above 25 percent).

Round-bar concaves

• Provide maximum grain quality and productivity when used for corn and soybeans
• Recommended for use in specialty crops like edible beans and food corn
• Available as a factory-installed option on rice combines, but large-wire concaves are standard on S-Series and STS rice combines and recommended when harvesting rice
• Standard on corn combines - Front concave section is heat-treated
• All three sections are available to be heat-treated as an option or in the extended-wear separator package.

Note: Round-bar concave inserts are available as a bundle attachment and are recommended for use with round-bar concaves in small grain. This field-installed bundle includes a set of two inserts and attaching hardware for use in the front concave section only. Extended wear is only available through the bundle number BH84226.

Small-wire Concaves

• Standard equipment on small-grain combines
• Recommended for use in wheat, barley, other cereal crops and specialty crops like grass seed
• IMPORTANT: Not recommended for use in corn.
• Available as an option with boronized treatment to extend wear life up to twice as long
• Base Equipment On: S550 Small-Grain Combine, S660 Small-Grain Combine, S670 Small Grain Combine, S680 Small-Grain Combine, and S690 Small-Grain Combine and 9670 STS Small-Grain, 9770 STS Small-Grain, and 9870 STS Small-Grain Concaves.
