They discharge during the off-season to preserve the life of the battery and require charging prior to the next-use season. StrongBox Hibernator batteries are built to withstand more discharge/charge cycles than regular StrongBox batteries. They feature advanced technology including a higher gassing rate and a higher internal rate of discharge to preserve the life of the battery when not in use for an extended period of time.
