There’s nothing like a restoration and a repower to bring back the beauty and performance of a beloved classic motoryacht 

 

Designed by Lee & Brittion and built by Madden & Lewis of Sausalito Boat Works in 1927, she is a traditional commuter yacht that once ferried her owners across the San Francisco Bay prior to the building of the Golden Gate Bridge in the 1930s.

 

Today, Arequipa cruises in Europe. Prior to her departure from the states, she underwent a complete restoration, extensive refit, and system upgrades. George spent most of two years replacing her deck and deck beams, renovating the galley and main saloon, and installing all new mechanical and electrical systems, including modern rudders and hydraulic steering. He also added a new fly bridge steering station and refinished the vessel from stem to stern.
