Nowhere on earth can you find
a disk ripper that does all this.
Size and manage residue. Penetrate and shatter the compaction layer. Bury and mix residue. And help level the soil profile. All in just one pass.
The all-new 2720 Disk Ripper has “tough” written all over it. Featuring a durable new gang design with heavier C-springs, floating scrapers, the industry’s largest gang bolt and 24-inch blades, the 2720 Ripper delivers improved residue flow in the toughest conditions. It shatters hardpan soils like nothing else on earth, eliminating yield-robbing soil compaction up to 15-inch (38.1 cm) depths. Plus, you’ll never have to grease the gang bearings — ever.
The 2720 Ripper doesn’t just shatter your soil, it shatters your expectations. With an industry-exclusive active hydraulic rolling basket option, the new 2720 Ripper effectively breaks up clods, slabs and rootballs — delivering the smoothest, most level soil profile available from a disk ripper.
The 2720 Disk Ripper is the ideal primary tool for low-, medium-, and high-level residue crops. It can leave as much as 30 to 45 percent cover on the surface. It sizes residue well to improve flow through your spring tillage tools, or you can use it as effective one-pass tillage right after harvest. The 2720 Ripper fits into any tillage system using the 2210 Field Cultivator, 2600 Series Disks or Vertical Tillage, Tandem Disk or 2310 Mulch Finisher.
New beefed-up frame
for higher-horsepower needs.
When it comes to meeting today’s higher horsepower needs, yesterday’s tillage tools just don’t cut it. With more horsepower, more torque and more weight, today’s tractors demand larger, more powerful implements with bigger, stronger frames and hitch components.
Our engineers have been hard at work, perfecting the right disk ripper for your high-horsepower requirements. We’ve added more muscle to our new 2720 Disk Ripper, boosting frame tube thickness, additional diagonal bracing, and frame gussets for engine horsepower requirements up to 560 hp to match the John Deere 9R Series tractors.
Just look at all the design enhancements. The durable, integrated frame is made of high-strength tubular steel to withstand the shock loads commonly found in hard ground and harsh conditions. It’s more rigid than ever to hold standards and disk gangs on the same plane for consistent depth. Acre after acre, season after season, you can count on solid performance.
Choose from four working widths to meet your horsepower requirements:
• Five standard — 12 ft. 6 in. (3.8 m) working width, 15 ft. 6 in. (4.7 m) transport width
• Seven standard — 17 ft. 6 in. (5.3 m) working width, 20 ft. 8 in. (6.3 m) transport width, or narrow option of 18 ft. (5.5 m)
• Nine standard — 22 ft. 6 in. (6.9 m) working width, 18 ft. (5.5 m) transport width
• Eleven standard — 27 ft. 6 in. (8.4 m) working width and transport width
