Cut Mowing Time with John Deere EZtrak Zero-Turn Radius Mowers
Two new mowers provide homeowners added speed and make lawn care quick and efficient
CARY, North Carolina (February 12, 2013) — Homeowners can now complete yard maintenance even faster with John Deere's latest line of zero-turn radius mowers, which provides speed and even more engine power. Two new models in the Z200 Series of John Deere's EZtrak™ zero–turn radius mowers – the Z235 and Z255 – have been redesigned to offer a mowing system that provides a quality cut at a better value.
Taking a nod from popular John Deere commercial-grade mowers, the new homeowner models are fast, more durable and more efficient. Both the Z235 and Z255 offer 7–mph operation with a robust belt drive transmission that boosts ground speed. For increased durability, the frame is 20 percent thicker than previous models. The 180–degree spin provides infinite maneuverability and reduces the number of passes required to mow your yard–making the job faster and efficient.
"In addition to speed, both comfort and functionality are important when doing outdoor yard work," said Kim Ridel, John Deere product marketing manger. "The unique comfort features such as larger foot platforms and taller foot rests—fit the comfort needs of a variety of customers."
Operators can also adjust the cut height of the machine from one to four inches in a matter of seconds, without getting out of the driver's seat.
The Z200 Series EZtraks come with two mower deck options: a 42–inch deck on the Z235 and a 48–inch deck on the Z255. Each model also includes the John Deere Edge™ Cutting System, a patented design that lifts and distributes clippings evenly.
With a platform that easily lifts, customers have easy access to the deck drive belt, for cleaning out grass clipping buildup, and quickly performing maintenance. A service interval decal, located next to the operator's seat, is a helpful reminder for regular maintenance.
"Celebrating our 50th year in the lawn and garden equipment business, the Z235 and Z255 join a broad line of more than 30 John Deere zero–turn radius mowers for commercial and residential use," said Ridel.
