LENEXA, Kansas (August 25, 2011) –For the row-crop tractor market, John Deere introduces the 6R Series Tractors for the 2012 season. The new 6R Series, which replaces the John Deere 7430 Premium and 7530 Premium models, includes three tractor models: the 6170R with 170 engine horsepower; the 6190R with 190 engine horsepower; and the 210 horsepower model 6210R.
According to Chris Borgman, John Deere product manager for mid-size tractors, the 6R Series Tractors have a higher horsepower range, increased hydraulic capacity, more integrated technology and larger ComfortView cabs than the previous 7030 Premium Series Tractors.
"These improvements give customers greater versatility in how these machines can be used and increased comfort while using them," Borgman says. "We’ve increased hitch-lift capacity, hydraulic flow rate by 41 percent, added a Type 3 drawbar and Type 3 rear PTO, and made the cab 20 percent larger. These improvements help create a heavy-duty tractor that can be used for many row-crop and haying jobs, commercial work, and all types of loader applications."
The 6R Series Tractors have 6.8L PowerTech™ PVX engines (6170R) and PSX engines (6190R and 6210R models) that deliver efficient power while meeting the latest emissions requirements and new transmission options that include the popular Infinitely Variable Transmission (IVT) and AutoQuad Plus ECO. All tractors come equipped with the GreenStar 3 CommandCenter and are capable of integrated AMS functionality.
"These are the most powerful, feature-rich 6 Series Tractors yet and are built to provide years of reliable service," Borgman concludes.
