Martin L. Wilkinson is Vice President, Worldwide Forestry and Business Development, Worldwide Construction & Forestry Division, a position he has held since December 2012.

 

Wilkinson is responsible for the company's global forestry business. He also leads business development and strategic planning for the Construction & Forestry Division. He is on the board of directors for the Ashok Leyland–John Deere joint venture for backhoes and wheel loaders in Chennai, India.

 

Wilkinson joined Deere & Company in 1977 as an auditor. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in finance, information technology, strategic planning and operations in all of John Deere's equipment divisions, including overseas assignments. In 2003, Wilkinson was appointed General Manager, John Deere Davenport Works. In May 2005, he was named Vice President, Information Technology, Deere & Company and in January 2007, he was appointed Senior Vice President, John Deere Renewables. In August 2010 Wilkinson was named Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Planning, Worldwide Construction & Forestry Division.

 

A native of Ottumwa, Iowa, Wilkinson is a graduate of St. Ambrose University, with a bachelor degree in accounting. He is also a CPA, and received a master's degree in management in 1995 from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
