FEI WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES
September 2010 - John Deere is the official equipment sponsor of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, which will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY from 25 September to 10 October. The company will also serve as a title sponsor of the Reining competition during the 2010 Games.
As a partner for the Games and a long-time supporter of the global equestrian community, John Deere provides a range of products for both professionals and enthusiasts.
John Deere's equipment line-up at Kentucky Horse Park includes utility and compact tractors, front loaders, implements and specialised attachments. John Deere will also provide Gator utility vehicles, front mowers and lawn tractors to the event organisers to keep the site’s amenity turf and lawns in top condition.
John Deere’s commitment to the equestrian community has historic roots in the use of horses that pulled John Deere’s first ploughs and farm implements, until these fascinating animals were gradually replaced by tractors and self-propelled machines. Today, John Deere works in partnership with a number of equestrian industry associations and international events.
The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games are the world championships of eight equestrian disciplines recognised by the FEI, and are held every four years. The 2010 Games are being held outside Europe for the first time.
