Marie Z. Ziegler is Vice President and Treasurer for Deere & Company, a position she's held since November 2010. Ziegler is responsible for the company's worldwide treasury and investor relations activities.
Ziegler joined Deere & Company in 1978 as a consolidation accountant and has held management positions in finance, treasury operations, strategic planning and investor and banking relations. She served as Director of Investor Relations, and in May 2001, was appointed Vice President, Investor Relations for Deere & Company.
A native of Moline, Illinois, Ziegler is a 1978 graduate of St. Ambrose University, with a bachelor of arts in accounting. She received her CPA in 1979, and an MBA from the University of Iowa in 1985.
Ziegler is on the boards of QCR Holdings, Inc. (Moline, Illinois) and Two Rivers YMCA (Moline, Illinois). She is a member of the University of Iowa's College of Business Board of Visitors and on the fundraising committee of Playcrafters Barn Theatre in Moline, Illinois. Ziegler is a past member of the Unified Growth Strategy Committee of the Illinois Quad City Chamber of Commerce, and a past member of the boards of Trinity Regional Health System and Trinity Medical Center and United Way of the Quad Cities, Inc., (Davenport, Iowa). She also served on the boards of the Girl Scouts of the Mississippi Valley, Inc., Deere & Company Credit Union, and chaired the United Way of the Quad Cities' 2003 campaign. In 2006, she received the Athena Business Women's Award from The Women's Connection (Moline, Illinois).
