James H. Becht is Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, International, Deere & Company, a position he has held since March 2008. Becht leads Deere's law services supporting the company's operations and growth initiatives outside the United States and Canada.
Becht joined Deere in 1979. He has worked in a variety of areas of the company as Attorney, Senior Attorney, Chief Counsel of John Deere Credit, Assistant General Counsel of Deere & Company in Moline and in the European Office in Mannheim, Germany, and as Corporate Secretary and Associate General Counsel.
Becht received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University College of Law.
He is a member of the Illinois and Ohio bars, the American Bar Association, and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
