Results*
Rations for dairy cows are normally based on Dry Matter Intake (DMI). If moisture contents of forages are not checked daily, one of three scenarios will occur: 1) Each cow receives the correct amount of DMI, 2) Each cow is overfed on a DMI basis, 3) Each cow is underfed on a DMI basis. If each cow is overfed, this calculator will calculate the value of overfeeding your herd on an annual basis. If each cow is underfed, this calculator will calculate the milk yield loss due to underfeeding on an annual basis.
