John Deere (Pty) Ltd
John Deere (Pty) Ltd. was originally a private company called "South African Cultivators (Pty.) Ltd", based in Nigel, Gauteng, South Africa. Deere & Company purchased the majority interest in 1962 and the name was changed to "John Deere - Bobaas (Pty.) Ltd". ("Bobaas" originating from the trade name of the cultivators manufactured) and later to John Deere (Pty) Ltd.
John Deere (Pty) Ltd. sources equipment and parts from other John Deere factories from around the world and is responsible for the sale of agricultural and turf equipment and parts throughout Sub-Sahara Africa, through our dealer network throughout Sub-Sahara Africa.
John Deere (Pty) Ltd. works closely together with the 28 dealers in Sub-Sahara Africa, to deliver John Deere products supported by strong after sales support to its customers and to provide training for dealer personnel.
The team is made up of highly motivated people working in a close knit group to develop the John Deere business in Sub-Sahara Africa.
