Get More Flaxability
Get More Flaxability Versatile machines make quick work of harvesting and baling a flexible crop

Electric cars are one way to go "green." But what about vehicle parts or even whole cars made from plants? It's not as unlikely as you may think. French company Dehondt Technologies is bursting with ground-breaking ideas on how to use flax – a plant that's been grown for millennia to make cloth such as linen and damask.

Dehondt is passionate about flax, innovating and creating 21st century opportunities for this versatile crop. This includes working with leading chemical companies to develop flax-based composites that can replace glass or carbon fibers in everything from vehicles to sports equipment.

Revolutionary harvester At the 2008 Eurolin trade show, Dehondt demonstrated its ingenuity, unveiling a prototype double harvester that has been field tested for approximately three years and that will come to market in 2011.
