FEATURES & BENEFITS

Dual and Wide Tire Applications

Dual and wide tire applications increase the
  demand on the axles.
The thickness of the 1400 Series flange is
increased from 1.12 in (28.45 mm) to 1.5 in.
  (38.1 mm).
The number of mounting bolts in the 1400
Series flange increased from 14 to 20.
The mounting bolts between the axle
  housings and differential
case is increased from 12 to 20. This gives
better support for the additional overhung
load due to dual or wide tires.
Improved sealing at the wheel end with
  face seals prevent contamination.
The volume of casting surrounding the seal
has been increased to strengthen the axle.
The axle shaft of the 1400 Series has
increased in diameter from 4.5 in. (114.3
mm) to 5.25 in. (133.4 mm).
Outboard bearing load capacity has increased by 34%.
All above features make
SWEDA perfect for dual and wide tire
  applications.
