JOHN DEERE EXPANDS LANDSCAPING LINEUP TO BETTER MEET PROS' NEEDS

From Turf to Debris, New John Deere Clean-Up Solutions Take on Lawn Care's Toughest Tasks

LENEXA, Kansas (October 29, 2009)— Committed to offering quality products for every aspect of professional landscaping, John Deere has introduced a new line of property cleanup solutions: walk-behind blowers, a lawn and litter vacuum and a brush cutter.

"For decades, John Deere has designed and built the quality mowers professionals have come to count on," said Chase Tew, John Deere tactical brand manager, commercial mowing. "But professional turf care doesn't stop at mowing, so we're pleased to offer property cleanup equipment for spring, summer and fall. Great for handling leaves, brush, clippings and lawn debris, this equipment meets the same exacting standards we have for our larger machines."

The new line includes two walk-behind blowers with 16-blade impellers for optimal performance and large tires and ball bearings for exceptional maneuverability. Capable of removing material from hard-to-reach places, the blowers also feature one-touch directional air control to focus airflow where it is most needed.

Like the blowers, John Deere's lawn and litter vacuum easily reaches out-of-the way areas, thanks to a standard hose kit. The self-propelled vacuum features an integrated dust skirt to keep debris away from the operator's face and can be used both on hard surfaces and turf, thanks to the infinitely adjustable height control.

Boasting a 24-inch cut, John Deere's brush cutter takes on saplings up to six feet tall and has the only deck that meets the ANSI rotary mower standard. Steel hand guards protect against injuries during operation and the brush cutter's sloping deck aids in efficient debris clearing. The cutter also runs on 16-inch, puncture-resistant tires and features an electric starter with on-board battery.

"John Deere has become a trusted choice in professional lawn care," said Tew. "Customers who rely on our mowers want all of their equipment to be John Deere quality and have been asking for an expanded equipment lineup for some time. We're more than happy to deliver these clean-up solutions — tools that will meet our users' needs and expectations."
