DEERE RECOGNIZED FOR CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP

MOLINE, IL (February 15, 2007) — Deere & Company is among the top 10 percent of 1,100 publicly–traded U.S. companies ranked as corporate citizens by CRO magazine, a journal published by The CRO, a membership organization for corporate responsibility officers.

In the magazine's annual list of 100 Best Corporate Citizens, which appears in the January/February 2007 issue, John Deere appears in the top 100 for the seventh time in eight years.

CRO said the 100 Best Corporate Citizens list identifies companies that excel at serving well a variety of stakeholders. The list was published by Business Ethics magazine until it merged last year with CRO.

The Top 100 selection process draws on extensive data collected by an independent investment research firm, which uses the information in a quantitative analysis of each company, the magazine said. John Deere's highest scores came in the areas of product, total returns, human rights and the environment.
