Desert Highlands #14 Scottsdale, Arizona

Standing on the tee, the gorgeous view of Pinnacle Peak is a wonderful distraction but stay focused. The hole is a dramatic dog leg left, an uphill tee shot to a narrowing fairway that leaves a mid-iron approach to a two tiered green. Your tee shot should favor the right center of the fairway, avoiding the large transition bunker on the left. However, be sure to clear the four saguaro cacti that guard the front of the fairway. The hole plays longer than the stated yardage due to the significant incline towards the Peak so choose a little more club on your approach. Make sure to check the pin location. If there is a back pin placement, it will require one or two more clubs. We don’t see many birdies on this hole but too many double bogeys to count; again focus is the key.
