John Deere-powered workboats are playing a key role in the construction of New York's newest bridge
The Jeanne II
is one of three crew boats that shuttle workers to and from the construction site of the new Tappan Zee Bridge in New York. The five-year project to replace the Tappan Zee Bridge is so colossal it already ranks as one of the largest public works projects in North America. To meet New York City's strict air and noise emissions regulations, all three crew boats were repowered with twin PowerTech 6.8L Tier 3 marine engines.
