We understand the need to safeguard information about your personal and financial affairs that we obtain about you. We have implemented and will maintain standards and procedures designed to prevent misuse of that information.

We collect, retain, and use that information when we believe it will help us, our affiliated entities, dealers or business partners, provide products, services, and other opportunities to you. We also use and disclose that information to comply with certain laws and regulations; to help us design or improve our products and services; and to understand your needs so we, our affiliated entities, dealers and business partners can provide you with quality products, superior service and genuine value.

We have procedures to help confirm that nonpublic personal information is accurate, current and complete, in accordance with commercial standards. We also have procedures to respond to your requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner. Some of these procedures may be required by federal or state law.

It also may be a business necessity to provide personally identifiable information about you to a nonaffiliated third party, such as a service provider, an insurance agency or insurance adjuster. These nonaffiliated third parties must agree to protect the nonpublic personal information about you and must abide by applicable law.

* The Notice of Privacy of Consumer Financial Information only relates to accounts used primarily for personal, family and household purposes. Crop insurance purchased for an income producing farming operation is not considered to be for personal, family and household purposes.

We may collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Applications or other forms provided by you;
  • Your transactions with us, our affiliated entities, or others; and
  • Other nonaffiliated third parties such as a consumer reporting agency.

We may disclose all of the information described in item 1 above to our affiliated entities.

We may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to the following nonaffiliated third parties:

  • Financial service providers, who offer services you may find of value, such as securities broker-dealers, insurance companies, and agents.
  • Non-financial companies who have identified you as their customer, such as merchants participating in John Deere Credit's Farm Plan program.
  • Account servicing providers with whom we have account servicing agreements.
  • Marketing services providers or other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreement

We may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law.

We may disclose nonpublic personal information about former customers to the types of nonaffiliated third parties noted in item 3 above. We may also disclose nonpublic personal information about former customers to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law. Such nonpublic personal information may include information received from applications or other forms, information about transactions with us, our affiliated entities, or others, and information received from consumer reporting agencies.

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products and services to you, except as described above. If you prefer that we not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties, you may opt out of those disclosures, that is, you may direct us not to make those disclosures, other than disclosures permitted by law. If you wish to opt out of disclosures to nonaffiliated third parties, you must notify us by calling 1-866-404-9061 ext. 329 and providing your name, social security number, address and account number, and certain non-public personal information will not then be provided to those nonaffiliated third parties.

  • Information we obtain from a party regarding its business, insurance or other relationship with you, such as your type of business entity and claim history.

Shared With Whom: Our affiliated entities who may receive this information are:

  • Financial service providers, such as sales finance companies and banks; and
  • Non-financial companies, such as manufacturers.

How To Tell Us Not To Share This Information With Our Affiliated Entities:

If you prefer that we not share this information with our affiliated entities, you may direct us not to share this information by doing the following, calling us toll-free at 1-866-404-9061 ext. 73499 and providing your name, social security number, address and account number, and certain non-public personal information will not then be provided to our affiliated entities.

Note: Your direction in this paragraph covers certain information about you that we might otherwise share with our affiliated entities. We may share other information about you with our affiliated entities as permitted by law.
