CARY, North Carolina (October 24, 2013) – John Deere introduces the 3E and 3R Series compact utility tractors for landscape contractors who need to do more than mow grass. Five models (3032E, 3038E, 3033R, 3039R and 3046R) make up the line and provide professional landscapers the uptime, performance, comfort and convenience needed for various jobsite tasks, including material movement, mowing, seed bed preparation, and fence post setting.
"A compact utility tractor is a great solution for many tasks with limited jobsite space that are normally associated with skid steers and compact track loaders," said Scott Schadler, John Deere product marketing manager. "Their compact size and attachment capability make the compact utility tractor a versatile tool in the contractor's fleet."
The 3E and 3R models feature powerful Final Tier 4 engines ranging from 32 to 46 hp to power through tough tasks. The hydrostatic transmission with Twin Touch Pedals provides operators with simple, comfortable-to-use hydrostatic controls to find the right speed for the job at hand. It's as simple as pressing a single foot pedal to go forward and another foot pedal to go in reverse. An optional PowrReverser™ transmission available on the 3033R and 3039R allows the operator to change directions using a hand lever and without clutching. Intuitive controls are color-coded (orange for throttle and shifting; black for hydraulics; yellow for PTO) for easy operation.
3R models also feature integrated hydrostatic transmission controls on a single panel. Operators can easily select LoadMatch™ to automatically adjust engine-speed based on load, MotionMatch™ to adjust the responsiveness of the transmission, and SpeedMatch™ to enable automotive-style cruise control.
Four-wheel drive comes standard on all 3E and 3R CUTs for tough applications and harsh ground conditions. To get the most versatility, the machines are equipped with an independent PTO and three-point hitch. Various attachments, including the factory-installed loader option on the 3E Series ensures landscape contractors are ready for work. Also, with the new 375A backhoe which can be attached to a 3R in just five minutes, excavating projects have never been easier.
No matter what the weather, operators will enjoy comfort and increased productivity with the optional ComfortGard™ Cab available on the 3R Series Tractors. The tightly sealed cab keeps out dust and clippings, as well as microscopic allergens while featuring climate control for year-round comfort. The cab also enables 360-degree views with forward work lights, front windshield wiper and an integrated radio antenna. A fixed ROPS is certified and easily fits under a seven-foot garage door.
Like the rest of the compact utility tractor lineup, the 3 Series is an eligible purchase within the GreenFleet™ Loyalty Rewards program. The industry-exclusive loyalty program from John Deere is designed to help customers manage their equipment more easily and cost-effectively.
