Ranjit Nair is Global Director, Specialty Harvesting Product Line, a position he has held since November 2016. He is responsible for the leadership of John Deere's global sugarcane and cotton harvesting businesses.


Nair joined John Deere in 2000. He held positions of increasing responsibility in the former Commercial & Consumer Equipment Division, including Manager, Business Development and General Manager for SABO, a John Deere company located in Gummersbach, Germany.


Nair was appointed Director, Government and National Accounts in 2006, where he led John Deere's government marketing and sales activities in the United States. In 2007, he was named Director, Business Development for the Worldwide Agricultural Division, where he led the division's merger and acquisition activities and its global strategic planning efforts. Nair was appointed Managing Director and CEO, John Deere India in May 2009. In 2012, he was appointed Vice President, Global Supply Management, where he was responsible for all supply management activities for the Agriculture and Turf Division. In July 2015, Nair was named Global Director, Sugar Product Line, and in November 2016, he assumed the additional responsibility of leading John Deere's global cotton harvesting business.


Nair has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Duke University.
