David C. Gilmore is Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing - Region 4, Worldwide Financial Services Division at Deere & Company, a position he has held since October 2013. Gilmore manages the growth and profitability of all John Deere lending products in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. He plays a critical role in supporting John Deere around the world.


Gilmore is responsible for meeting customers' value propositions and developing and strengthening distribution channels, a focus that enables and grows John Deere sales while fostering and deepening strategic relationships with both current and prospective customers. Additionally, he leads John Deere Financial customer acquisition processes and division information technology activities along with all John Deere Financial operations in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.


Gilmore's most recent position with John Deere Financial was Vice President, Marketing - U.S. and Canada. In that capacity, he led strategic and tactical marketing efforts across all Ag & Turf and Construction & Forestry product lines. He joined John Deere Financial in June 2011, with diverse experience in both regional and product line marketing roles in the Ag & Turf Division.


Gilmore began his career at John Deere in 1990, progressively building his sales and marketing experience through roles of increasing responsibility in the Ag & Turf Division, culminating with the position of Director, Marketing - Global Harvesting Platform.


Gilmore was raised on a family row-crop and livestock farm near Shabbona, Illinois. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois in 1989.


Gilmore is passionate about commercial marketing, sales, and giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to build long-term success. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Equipment Lease and Finance Association (ELFA) and the Illowa Fellowship of Christian Athletes Leadership Board.
