John Deere Wind Energy Cited in Award Ceremony
(October 18, 2006) – John Deere has been named a runner-up
for a renewable energy financing award.
Investment firms Euromoney Institutional Investors PLC and Ernst and Young sponsor renewable energy awards, now in their third year, as part of an annual alternative energy financing conference, which this year was held in September in London.
John Deere was named runner-up in a new award category, "Most Enterprising New Market Entrant of the Year," for John Deere Wind Energy’s financing of community-based wind energy projects. John Deere Wind Energy is a unit of John Deere Credit.
Petroleum company BP PLC, won the award, also for financing of wind-energy projects.
