John Deere and the Arts

As part of its commitment to community betterment, John Deere has supported arts and cultural venues for many years. The company's long-standing commitment to arts and culture was formally recognized in 2005 when John Deere was selected as one of the "Ten Best Companies Supporting the Arts in America." Presented by the Business Committee for the Arts, the award acknowledges companies for "exceptional involvement with the arts that enrich the workplace, education and the community." The organization cited the company's ongoing support for museums, galleries, symphonies, concert series and other organizations that actively promote the arts and cultural education in many forums.

Arts and Culture Success Story: Dubuque Symphony Orchestra
Thanks in part to John Deere, the Dubuque, Iowa, Symphony Orchestra brings classical, chamber, and pops concerts to a tri-state audience of more than 100,000 people each year. Established in 1958 as a volunteer community organization, the symphony today employs more than 100 professional musicians, and presents adult education and youth programs in addition to its performances.
