Christoph Wigger is Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Europe/CIS/North Africa/Middle East for the Agriculture and Turf Division, a position he has held since May 2009. In his role, he is responsible for all agriculture and turf equipment sales and marketing in Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States, North Africa, and the Middle East.
Wigger joined the company as a sales trainee at John Deere Export in June 1991. Since then he has held various marketing positions with increasing responsibility, including Territory Manager, JD Export; Parts Manager, John Deere Vertrieb; and Division Sales Manager, John Deere International.
In February 2001, Wigger was named Manager, Factory Marketing, at John Deere Werke Mannheim. In June 2003, he was named General Manager at John Deere Vertrieb, Deere's sales branch for Germany. Wigger was appointed Director, Strategic Planning and Customer Focus – Europe, Africa and Middle East in June 2007 and Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Agricultural Division – Western Europe in September 2007.
Wigger is a graduate of Kiel University in Germany with an advanced degree in agricultural economics.
