Mark von Pentz is President, Agricultural Division – Europe, Africa, South America and Global Harvesting Equipment Sourcing for Deere & Company. He has held the position since September 2007. In this role, von Pentz is responsible for serving all customers within his region and for all harvesting factories globally. As the leading officer based in Europe he also heads the company's European Office.
von Pentz began his career with John Deere in the European Office in 1990 as an internal auditor. He held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in the Agricultural Division's marketing organization in Europe. In 1999, he was named General Manager of John Deere International, and in 2003 was appointed Director, Market Development for the United States and Canada. In 2005, von Pentz was named Vice President for Agricultural Marketing for the United States and Canada. In January 2006, he was named Senior Vice President, Marketing and Product Support – Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
He is a graduate of Hamburg University with an advanced degree in business administration. von Pentz is a board member of the VDMA (German Equipment Manufacturers' Association).
