Executive Biography

Patrick Pinkston Patrick Pinkston

Vice President,
Global Platform Services
Agriculture and Turf Division

 


Patrick Pinkston is Vice President, Global Platform Services for the Agriculture and Turf Division, a position he's held since May 2009. Pinkston is responsible for globally aligning key component design and manufacturing through internal platforms for operator stations, hydraulic cylinders, and component and fabrication operations. He also has responsibility for globally aligning technologies and processes through the services organizations for product & manufacturing engineering and information technologies.

Pinkston began his career at Deere as an engineer in the Product Engineering Center in Waterloo, Iowa, in 1977. He held positions of increasing responsibility at that operation as well as at the John Deere Waterloo Works over the next two decades. In 1996, he was named Factory Manager, Componentes John Deere in Chihuahua, Mexico, and two years later Manager, Cotton Operations, John Deere Des Moines Works. In 1999, he was named Director, Worldwide Ag Quality, Deere & Company. He was appointed General Manager, John Deere Seeding in 2000 and General Manager, John Deere Waterloo Works in 2005. Previous to his current position, he was Director, Manufacturing Strategic Planning Global Tractor & Implement Sourcing, Deere & Company.

Pinkston graduated from Iowa State University at Ames with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 1977.
