William F. Norton
William F. Norton
Vice President,
Global Platform - Hay & Forage
Agriculture and Turf Division


William F. Norton is Vice President, Global Platform - Hay & Forage, Agriculture and Turf Division, a position he has held since May 2009. In his position, Norton is responsible for the design, manufacture, and sourcing of the hay and forage platform of products for Deere's global agriculture and turf equipment operations.

Norton joined Deere & Company in 2000 as manager of manufacturing for John Deere Waterloo Works (Waterloo, Iowa). In 2002 he was named general manager of the John Deere Welland Works (Canada). Norton was appointed Vice President, Worldwide Supply Management, Deere & Company in 2004 and later General Manager, John Deere Des Moines Works.

Prior to joining the company, Norton was employed in the automotive industry where he held leadership positions in manufacturing operations, quality, and business/operational planning.

A native of Potsdam, New York, Norton received his bachelor of science degree from Clarkson University in 1983. In 1987 he received his master of science degree in business administration from Central Michigan University.
