Michael J. Matera is Senior Vice President and Finance Director, John Deere Credit, a position he has held since May 2009. He is responsible for John Deere Credit's accounting and finance organization worldwide. He joined Credit in September 2008 as Vice President and Finance Director.
Matera came to John Deere from Wells Fargo Financial where he gained a broad range of executive experience in finance. At Wells Fargo, Matera held positions of increasing responsibility including Manager, Accounting and Reporting; Director of Treasury Services and Treasurer; Senior Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis; and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, he spent seven years as an audit manager with Deloitte & Touche focusing on both the financial services and manufacturing sectors.
Matera graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in accounting and is a certified public accountant.
