Global Platform - Crop Care
Agriculture and Turf Division


Eric P. Hansotia is Vice President, Global Platform – Crop Care for the Agriculture and Turf Division, a position he's held since May 2009. He is responsible for the design, manufacture, and sourcing of the crop care platform of products for Deere's global agriculture and turf equipment operations.

Hansotia joined Deere & Company in 1993 as an engineer in the Worldwide Agricultural Equipment Division. He moved to the Worldwide Construction Equipment Division in 1998 and in 2000, assisted in Deere's acquisition of the Timberjack Group, the world leader in forest harvesting equipment. Hansotia's responsibility grew in the global forestry business, first as Director of Forestry Operations, then as Vice President for Deere's Forestry group. He was appointed General Manager, John Deere Harvester Works in 2005.

Hansotia graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 1991, and a master's degree in mechanical engineering in 1992. He earned an Executive MBA degree from the University of Iowa in 1998.

In 2008, Hansotia was a recipient of the Quad Cities Area Leaders Under 40 Award. Hansotia also received the Best Investment in Europe award for Deere's integration of Timberjack at the 2003 World Investment Conference.
