James A. Davlin

James A. Davlin

Vice President & Treasurer
Deere & Company



James A. Davlin is Vice President & Treasurer for Deere & Company. He is responsible for the company's worldwide treasury activities. He joined John Deere in January 2007.

Davlin and his team provide sustainable cost-effective funding for global capital markets and financial risk management in support of Deere and John Deere Credit. This includes maintaining relationships with Deere's global banking group and rating agencies.

Davlin graduated from Wabash College in 1985 with a bachelor's degree in economics and philosophy. He received an M.B.A. in finance and marketing in 1988 from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. In 1995 he received a J.D. from Duke University School of Law with a focus on corporate and transactional law.

From 1988 to 1997 Davlin worked for The Procter & Gamble Company in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility in finance and operations. In 1997, he joined Eli Lilly and Company and held several positions in corporate finance and served as a controller in their Discovery Research operation. From 2002 until 2006, Davlin was Assistant Treasurer, Global Treasury, and in 2006 was appointed Assistant Treasurer, Investor Relations.

Davlin serves as a Trustee of Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, and is admitted to the Bar in Ohio and Federal Southern District of Ohio.
