John Deere tent

The Mid-South Forestry Equipment Show is a big deal for southern loggers and their families. This year, the show was held on June 6-7, and John Deere was the big hit at the event. Stribling Equipment, GR Manufacturing, and JD Credit partnered with the John Deere Forestry team to greet and host the 4500 loggers and their families at the show in Starkville, Mississippi. Despite the heat, the crowds came and were treated to a John Deere welcome.

John Deere’s Berry Johnson and Paul Holman narrated for the crowd as operators cut and skidded trees during the live shows. Stribling Equipment also sponsored a "Southern lunch" of catfish and chicken under the John Deere tent on Saturday - a true delight!

There was a lot to take in during the two-day event. The static equipment display showcased an 848H skidder, 843J feller buncher, and 437C knuckleboom log loader. During the event, John Deere customers continued a long tradition of supporting the Children's Miracle Network, and raised $4042 for "Log a Load for Kids”. Year to date, the funds raised during the forestry shows at the Deere booth total is close to $10,000!
